Jeff Yass is an American businessman who co-founded the trading firm Susquehanna International Group (SIG) in Philadelphia and is a major investor in TikTok.[2] On the Forbes 2026 billionaires list, a snapshot taken on March 24, 2026, he was 28th in the world with an estimated $67.4 billion.[1]

How the fortune was made
Yass grew up in a middle-class family in Queens, New York, and studied mathematics and economics at Binghamton University, then economics at New York University.[2] Before starting his firm he was a professional gambler, winning money at poker and on horse races.[2] In 1987 he and five friends from Binghamton founded Susquehanna, which became the largest trader of liquid stocks in the United States; it started out in an office at the Philadelphia Stock Exchange.[2] His father, an accountant, helped build the firm's bookkeeping.[2]
Public life
Yass is a registered Libertarian and one of the largest political donors in the United States, mostly to Republican and conservative groups.[2]
